A Rainy Christmas Eve

It’s way too warm and way too wet To feel like Christmas eve. I have to wonder just what Nature’s Hiding up her sleeve. In years gone by, the snowflakes fell To dust the world with white And cheeks were rosy from a taste Of winter’s stinging bite. Tonight as rain keeps pouring down It seems a little sad, When I think back to all those snowy Christmas eves we’ve had.

We had rain the week before Xmas. It rained a lot and I actually preferred it to snow, but that is only because my house sits on a hill and sometimes I can't get to work for the snow. Good one to read. And to know how Christmas is elsewhere. Ours was white and I bet the skiers were pleased as punch.

It rained here as well, I would have loved a blanket of snow. Merry Christmas and all the best in the new year. Hugs

Lovely and slightly sad at the absence of snow for Christmas....but He will surely make up for it with His arrival! // May I wish you a blessed and merry Christmas and all the best for 2015. // paul

As long as its snowing inside your heart, Christmas eve will last a lifetime, but yes I sure know what you mean!
