A Rainbows Gift
When times are tough
It should pull
Loved ones together
So you get through
Whatever troubles drag you down
Love should be felt all around
Pushing back the pain and sorrow
Holding you tight till tomorrow
When a sun will light the sky
Drying tears formed in your eyes
But sometimes people are alone
With no one waiting at home
Saying things will be alright
Taking away the fears and fright
That this world and life might bring
They have to handle everything
Sometimes it can be too much
Without a friendly caring touch
Bringing color back into
Days that leave you sad and blue
A rainbow with a special end
No pot of gold--but a good friend
Waiting on the other side
Of that colored and curved slide
Someone who can help you see
Your loneliness is history
With this special rainbow gift
That helps you feel so rich
