A Quirky Loop

Tender hope in a cup Slippery like wet soap Tasked to give it shape With a book, scissors and some tape A responsibility no good son can escape To carve into the horizon his own landscape With neither a map nor a safety rope To ascend life's steep slope A sage said to wear trust like a cape March into the battlefield like a good troop Your mission to never, ever drop At harvest to share in your crop To never bring love to a stop To drink daily from the poetrysoup
