A Quiet Reflection

Waves cascade upon the beckoning shore To gently wash across the sands they find And share its motion a timeless captor To give freedom to my spirit confined To let it soar in realms of passing dreams That glide on the visions trapped in the mind Wondrous worlds where nothing is as it seems Colored kaleidoscopes there to remind Landscapes in pictures where I'm a refugee Memories fleeing of what's bad and good To sit on the shore where my thoughts flow free And feel life's rhythm as it's understood To not be a hostage, to years I bare Escape life's chains, to never again wear 12/11/16

Beautifully worded. To sit and watch the waves coming in to the shore or to sit quietly and gaze out over the prairie and take take flight with the hawk as he soars over head. Wonderful. You can imprison the body but never the soul. Great write. God Bless and a big seven from me. JB

I've gazed over those prairies of which you speak, so true
