A Quiet Peace
I lay on my bed with no sounds but
the tick of the clock..
My mind wanders in and out over a
life that Iv'e taken stock..
I breast stroke through day dreams
of warmer days and cool nights..
Winter days are so short as the evening
grabs the afternoon light..
Its easy to write with just a mind raining
thoughts in quiet still time..
Every word written is poured from a hand
that is mine..
