A Quickie

Allow our bubbles to soar Carrying hopes on an ocean breeze Don’t let them drop to the sea floor Or burst from a seagull’s sneeze For Mother Nature can be quite the tease *Written June 19, 2014 by Carolyn Devonshire

So short yet so sweet. Mother Nature delights in the teasing. My friend loved your Emily D. poem I sent her. After reading it she vowed to write a tribute herself to E.D. Sadly ,she is so very private with her writes only a select few ever get to see them and they are truly great!

Yes and this year in particular, except the teasing is rather wild and destructive. Love, Dave

Quickly and simply put, Nature CAN be quite the tease. I have never seen a Seagull sneeze! Carolyn, by now you know I am a FAN of your stuff! I was telling an 18 year old new writer about you the other day. She is apprehensive about posting works online. I told her about the Soup and how you helped me get over stuffing shoeboxes full of my poems. About how it's best to let the world see what you've got to say. She might be on here soon. The girl can flat out write, which is rare.

Such a beauty can come from the evergreen pen of a great writer only. It was a joy to read these beautiful lines after a long long time Caorlyn. It deserves to be on the top. My good wishes for your contest entry. Love and best wishes always....Ravindra K Kapoor

It is sad how something so trivial can "burst our bubbles" of happiness sometimes....Your words are very uplifting with an element of humor to them. Very nicely done, Carolyn! Good luck in the contest!

good for you to be friends with that blind girl. I think it is difficult with certain kinds of people, however. The ones that do noisy outbursts where they are yelling out dirty words, that one would be hard for me to handle. It would be embarrassing to be with them because people would not realize they had that disease!!!
