A Prayer To Jehovah
Jehovah my God, full of mercy and love
Is how i start each prayer to my Father above.
I thank you dear God, for not turning away
For seeing into my heart, and for guiding my way.
Without you in my life, my soul would be lost.
I turn away from my sins, i'll serve you at all cost.
Forgive me dear God, for straying away.
For living in darkness, not willing to pray.
I am a frail human, my life filled with sin;
Please guard me from Satan, and his grip again.
You've always been with me, held me under your wing,
I thank you Jehovah, your praises i sing.
I thank you Jehovah, for a new day of life;
For giving me guidance, and easing my strife.
I thank you dear Father, for all that you give.
For food and for shelter, without you we don't live.
I thank you for the beauty, that surrounds us always;
For singing and laughter, for they ease our days.
I thank you for family, and friends that do care;
And for your written word, you gave us to share.
I thank you Jehovah, and please forgive me my sins.
Help me keep Satan at bay, so my soul he don't win.
I ask and give thanks, through Christ Jesus your son.
May you hear my prayer, and may your will be done.
Amen.
