A Prayer From My Heart and Soul
Dear Jesus, my Father in heaven, comforter of my soul
I call upon thee with the humblest of heart, Repenting
I'm a sinner and I have sinned many times against you
You saved me anyway; filled my heart with joyful-tears
Tears, I am not worthy to shed next to your bloodshed
Falling along a raindrop from heaven-bearing your gift
The gift of salvation, under the footstool of your cross
Your love stretched-out within the arm of the shadow
From the shadow of doubts, raised the everlasting life
The life that will forever light-up the whole wide world
The world cries, flip-flopping from joyfulness to shame
For it is shameful for the heart but sacred to the spirit
I thank you Lord, for your grace, mercy, and your love
The love, quantifying the unconditional to the blessed
And we’re so very blessed-in the name of Jesus Christ
Sowing the seeds from His grace into the fruits of faith
A faith that will endure through the challenges of time
Time is in your hand, holding mine, inside the promise
One that can never be broken because it is from you…
I believe in you Jesus, you died and saved me from sin
And so now I will live, the life you saved, into the word
Your word, the word of God, my proprietor of fortune
In your name-my heart and soul is yours alone: Amen!
