A Post For Kiss

My heart is very sad For you’ve been very bad No post from you today To see if I’m Ok All poems of “before” Unopened at your door You haven’t read a one My heart has come undone This frenzy for the “new” Just leaves me feeling blue I visit older rhymes Which have your lovely chimes So why not visit me If nothing new you see I want to hear from you Now here’s what you must do To show me that you care Read poems over “there” The older ones, you see Might spark a fantasy And make you come for more There's pleasure there in store So when my pen you miss Leave me a "post"ful kiss. YES....I'm dying for that KISS! Eileen Manassian I don't know. Maybe I'm just an old fashioned girl, but if I visit someone and he doesn't visit back...I feel...let down. :( I mean....if you like a poet's style of writing, even if they don't have a "new" one up, you could go and read some of the older writes which still reflect that poet's heart! Some of my older writes are far superior than what I am churning out now. I mean...it only makes sense. Maybe that's just me...Hence, this poem.

I know...makes me wonder why....Timothy...not like him to do that. Sad about Becca as well. :( I wonder...what is in store for us. I can relate, I visits and comment quite regularly and still my readership has fallen off substantially. I have purposely reduced my time in the last few days and the visits have reduced even further. I am currently assessing how much time I have dedicated to being here at the soup. I totally get what you are saying. A big hug because you are indeed one of the big reasons I keep coming back.

I can relate to this poem in both senses..Sometimes I just wait for poets to read their new poems,sometimes I do.visit older poems though..Re the waiting..Yes sometimes I wish others visit my oldies when I dont post something new.Your honest words touched me both ways ; )

Thanks, my sweet. Visiting old poems shows that you love someone from the bottom of your heart. This is a day to day relationship...the poems are our greetings. When someone doesn't say hi...you miss them...and want to reconnect. Anyway...I'm glad you're here, sweetie. Hugs to you.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. That happens to YOU too? huh; ME too? my new stuff on here is garbage compared to the old...I enjoy most of your poems and visit them daily. Saying "most" is not a bad thing...I can't say I enjoy "all of your poetry" because in all honesty, I have not heard all of your poetry. To experience poetry, someone has to read them to me. Do you know how hard it is to get someone to read poems these days!:) I do, it ain't no joke sister!:) I Read worse than a 3 year old.

Never assume they are not up my lane. I have said several times that I enjoy your poetry, and I keep coming back to read them everyday, There's over 30,000 poems of nearly ever genre and form in my original writes, Only around 175 posted on here, but if you were to look back you will see many styles.

That's very sweet of you, Arthur. I know it's weird, in a way, but it even gives me more pleasure when someone goes digging back there to find treasure. It's like...WOW...you're so good. Let me see how it all started. You know? That's what it means to me. When I get fascinated by someone's writes...I want to see...were they always that good? Have they developed,,,or what? i like your poem, eileen, but i have to admit that i rarely go into someone's list of poems to read prior posts. i tend to read the poems i catch on the list of most recent poems posted and just don't have the time to spend on reading more. i also don't respond to comments often enough and i hope people understand. my life is too busy and i'm happy that i can get in what i can. i know that i miss out on a lot, though...

:) You're right, my dear. There hardly is time to do that if you are trying to stay abreast of newer ones. However....this only happens with poet favorites. I mean, if a poet you really admire hasn't made a showing for awhile...visiting and leaving a message on an older write prompts them to write some more. Don't worry, sweetie. You are FOREVER in my good books!

I agree with you Eileen. Soup is like how marriage should be....give and take, take and give! I am very hard on myself regarding this; I see it as part of etiquette. Usually I won't reply to a comment unless I first pay that person a visit. It often is a reminder to stop by and say hello to a friend. Tim...you've been a busy man! :) I understand kiddies well. It bothers me that my older writes don't get read. I sometimes repost older ones, but then...I think if you haven't heard from a friend, why not drop by and leave a note? Richard is good that way. He always passes by when I've been a way and reads an older write to let me know that I am missed. I so appreciate that in him.
