A Portrait of the One I Once Loved

Sunshine in your hair, green eyes like cash money--too rich for a poor soul. Sweet, pursed lips that say one thing; then goes and does another. My drug addiction,-- mystery...bewilderment! A soul in bondage: "You and me, forever," you said! Naíve, I believed you. "Friend or fake?" I now wonder. If friend, I love you still. If fake, then I love only the idea of you. Why make me choose, my love? Sunshine in your hair, green eyes like cash money--too rich for a poor soul. Sweet, pursed lips that say one thing; then finds and loves another.
