A Portrait In Black and White
A Portrait in Black and White
(A painting by Briton Riviere)
There she lies in black and white.
So beautiful she lies there in my sight.
She gave me strength when I was weak,
And gave me the peace that I did seek.
The road ahead I could not see,
But then like pure magic she came straight to me.
She gave to me her precious love
Which I know in my heart was sent from above.
I’m so thankful today she walked into my life.
She came without warning and became my dear wife.
I look at her picture sometimes late at night,
And feel myself lucky she made my life right.
