A Poets Dreams
There's a special place in heaven
far above the mountain streams.
For love and hope and angels
and dreams a poet dreams.
A poet is a parable.
A message from on high.
Whose words unlock the kingdom
to the tears we cry.
Enchanted, still a mystery
right from the very start.
Heaven holds the answers
to what's in a poets heart.
Like light is to the shadows
that drives the night away.
Are words unto a broken heart
the poet has to say.
Though a poet walk through hell
and other times they crawl.
Their words come straight from heaven
when the brokenhearted call.
There are dreams a poet dreams
both wide awake and weeping.
That other men may never dream
that only dream while sleeping.
For there's a special place in heaven
far above the mountain streams.
For love and hope and angels
and dreams a poet dreams.
