A Poet I May Never Be
They say a poet I am not,
My scribbles just aren’t “there”,
That I use very simple words,
No writing meters here.
I always thought that poetry
Was to express one’s self,
To put one's feelings, thoughts in words,
Place one’s soul on display,
Describe in words what one has seen.
Been through, deep feelings, thoughts,
Experienced in life and love,
In images of words.
A poet I may never be
But, write I always will.
And whether you agree or not,
I’ve told you how I feel.
