A Poem Is Born
A Poem is Born
It starts with a thought in mind,
And soon you’re saying the first line.
You grab paper and pen in a panic.
Words are coming so fast you're frantic.
Capture it all while it’s hot,
Or else the muse will be forgot.
Will it be free verse or rhyme?
Catch that mood moment in time!
When the work is complete,
You’ve accomplished the sudden feat.
Are you done for the day?
Wait, more ideas have come your way.
There’s one less thing to fret about.
You've gotten pen and paper out.
