A Poem For My Mother
I am a seed which
From you germinated
And you a place
Where I was sown
Grew and firmly rooted
I am a flower which
From you sprouted
Grew well in the comfort
Of your cosy arms
Which like sepals
to petals
In a flower wrapped
Me with tenderness
Your love was
A fertilizer for my growth
Food for my hunger
My warmth in coldness
It was Like water,
Air and sunlight
To a germinating seed
