A Poem For Amy

I have a friend who's mother died, I do not know how often she's cried, But it really pains my heart, For her and her mom to have to be apart, I try I really do to try to give her comfort, But I don't know of all the feelings she must sort, My soul fills with fear, To think of her crying her final tear, Or that tomorrow she may not be here, In just a short time to me she is so dear, If there were anything I could do I would do it, To stop the pain and her going through it, But there's not much to do 'cept be a friend, And be there for her until the end!
