A Penny For a Poet's Thoughts Ii

Too blind to view adverse conditions, too dumb to speak out on situations. Is it only I who abhor the shame? Are my eyes the only eyes, Is my voice the only voice? Is my heart the only one open, is it only I who feel their pain.? Another sleepless night in the city- This time it is a child: Child can’t go to school in the morning; No telling what he was watching out for, ‘’no telling’’; Yeah, no telling.! But you say a penny for my thinking, for you to tell me that I am wrong. Why do you tell me I am wrong when, I sing my poet's song? I do not like the state, of the things. I display my stated; Outrage In this poem. Yes, I am outraged, at this outrageous behavior that is displayed: Lives wrecked, brutal shootings, lunacy going berserk and unchecked! Outraged yes, I am. Now you want to know my thinking, okay I am about to go in on this poem, Bout to drops some bombs on this nation of clones. So, pay attention.! I am about to go all in... Bout to serve it up...have us fighting all these wars, using our children while their own is home chilling. Trying to take back our voting rights while killing black boys on sight; Stop the madness, stop it now. Here, is the rest of my spiel, spilling. I am making demands for amends, give us back our good seeds, stop stifling the willing.
