A Paramour's Plea
I have loved before, dear
How could I love again?
My heart was broken then
How should I replace it again?
I can't love you, O my darling!
I can't love you, don't you see?
I was made a fool, dear
I had played it once
And lost badly then,
I shan't try that game again;
I can't love you, O my darling!
I can't love you, don't you see?
Oh, but I'll steal a kiss, dear
It won't be love, I pray,
Your lovely breasts tempt me -
Nope, I won't fall for them again!
I can't love you, O my darling!
I can't love you, don't you see?
Oh, that tease in your eyes,
And your winsome smile
Enticing me into a web of romance,
I think I'll try that game once again!
I love you, O my darling!
I love you after all, don't you see?
