A Note

You're probably grown now learning what life can be, Looking like your mother I haven't seen, Wondering what is beyond the door, Be free sweet Kenzie know that these notes were for you, Your mother kept them away for I knew, and one day you'll wonder what happen to them, When you read these pages you'll see the story untold, These poems were meant to reach you, They been on hold, lock in that vault, Never was good at addressing these though, You give meaning to why my writing is a challenge for I wanted them to teach you, When the day you come cross these poems about your mother and our love, Know I took the blame and left to give you a better life I couldn't provide love, That would be a lie the reason is your mother love left aside, And I try to catch what we first started yet I wasn't fast, For your eyes only you'll know the truth about the past, Maybe I'll rest easy when I get that phone call, And hear your voice at last.
