A Night To Remember

One hot summer night I'll never forget, The first night we met so hard I fell. You said everything I wanted to hear, So easily I was caught in your love binding spell. The way you place your hands on me, Touching my neck down to the nape of my back. How you pulled me in to kiss me, A connection was something we never lack. We grew together over a few months, But after a year you stopped growing. The kisses turned to hurtful words, The touching turned to throwing. One hot summer night I'll never forget, The last night you hit me so hard. You said everything I never wanted to hear, So easily beating me delighted to see me scarred. The way you placed your hands on me, Your hands around my neck choking out my breath. How you had me wondering why I stayed, A connection we'll always have you were the cause for my death.
