A Night of Dreams
Lying on a wooly blanket
in the golden sand
strategically placed
where twinkling stars
shine on the shoreline
and moonbeams fall
on the rising tide,
I feel a surprising warmth
on the gentle breeze
like a familiar embrace.
My eyes search the darkness
until from no where
and everywhere
appears a tall stranger
with sea green eyes glistening
like the crashing waves
and a radiant smile
inviting me to walk
forever by his side.
Surely, I am dreaming.
His aura outshines the stars
reflected on the water.
I know his touch could melt
the longest winter.
Spring must live in his heart.
With his hand in mine,
his touch has melted me.
Let my dream last forever.
