A Night Beside the Fireplace

You held me by the fire place, For a moment the world simply erased, With Hot chocolate smeared across your lips, You gently held my welcoming hips, While dancing by the blazing fire, Our eyes spoke all that we desired, The night our castle, The snow our tassels, Warmth hovered all around, The beat of our hearts created a musical sound, The wind whispered its sincere approval, There was no need for your removal, As we laid by the intensifying heat, Your arms became my personal sheet, The crackles of bundled lumber, Induced us into the sweetest slumber.
