A Night At the Opera

The buxom diva shattered chandeliers when she sang soprano. Opera houses vibrated and thundered when she sang contralto! When belting out an aria her voice quivered like Robin Hood's bow, As she struggled through Mozart's ll re pastore blow by tedious blow! His lady friend sat rapt but not her culturally impaired and hapless beau! He'd much rather they'd spent the evening at the Grand Ol' Opry show! Robert L. The twang of an ol geetar beats the shrill shrieks of some opera "wingers". A laugh is jus twhat I needed and you always manage to deliver when you get silly! Luv, Elizabeth

This rapport is truly humorous very funny! It's interesting you chose the opera, the one thing(probably not the only thing) I really know nothing about! But from what I could gather I think I understand a little bit more about the Opera! But that's not all there is to your write! There's even her guy friend who would just rather go to the, "Grand Ol' Opry show!" Must not be her thing! I must say that I really enjoyed your poem that I have read this evening! I just love your write! Great Work!!

Bob, you are so funny! Laughter is such good medicine ;) Thank you...and so WELL DONE...I love opera (and all music) I suppose the "hapless beau" could have thought "Opera" was a variation on dialect ;) Big hugggss~Deb~

Hilarious, Bob! I think the boyfriend is a good sport for going with her. My husband doesn't like musicals of any kind, but he goes with me sometimes and I love him that much more for letting me drag him along. Thanks for the laugh. Blessings, Rhonda

A very funny write, Bob. I also agree with her beau. Give me country music over opera any day. Love, Kim
