A New Year

A prism stains the sands of time Where rainbows fear to go While shining light on better days Forgiveness starts to show A new beginning starts to rise To bury past mistakes As one year passes in the night A new one always wakes Looking back while moving on We see where we have been We can't undo what we have done But we're sorry for our sin One day older but none the wiser We cross the great unknown We take the path that fate demands To see what life has sown A brand new world of hopes and dreams Will meet the coming dawn And one more year will start anew For another has come and gone
