A Muse Sings
All things can tempt me to ignore the muse.
But writers should commit and never refuse
To go straight to pen and paper to write.
Even though baked bread aroma needs a bite.
Poetic thirsts are quenched by word water sips
Like sweet iced tea trickling over hot lips.
Therefore, obligated poets push ahead
Conquering with poetic rite—even bread!
So join me in this rightful fight today
For tempting holds most certainly don’t pay.
