A Mothers Prayer

I hope my child will never know The crazy life I left behind. He’ll never know the insanity that torments my mind. He’ll never know the sleepless nights, the times I walked away. That he only knows a normal life, it’s this for him I pray. He’ll never know the chaos, the sorrow, times of pain. He’ll only know the ocean breeze, stomping puddles, summer rain. This normal life I see for him, it’s a gift from up above. May the good lord give him stability, his wonderful gift of love. From the day he came to this crazy world I started to build a life; One that is minus heartache, days without strife. I work each day to keep his world filled with days of joy. I am thankful for the day I met you, my beautiful baby boy. My prayer for you this autumn day, is that you will always know That I will always love you, and hope that you continue to grow. I pray the lord will keep you safe and forever in my arms. May he bless you and keep you away from any harm. This is my prayer for you my son, a prayer for happiness, A prayer for you this autumn day, to always be blessed.
