A mother's love

In a bustling corner of Bondi's heart, where dreams and lives, play a part. A mother's bravery, a tale untold, in midst of chaos, her love, so bold. With madness swirling in the air, A mother's instinct, rare and fair, She shielded her babe from the dark, In the face of terror, she made her mark. Through the echoes of that tragic day, Her sacrifice, still lights the way, A beacon of hope in a sea of fear, A testament to love, forever dear. Harriet, the babe, now in healing's embrace, A symbol of resilience and of grace, In the shattered fragments of pain and sorrow, A mother's love, a bright tomorrow. So let us remember, in verse and in rhyme, The courage of that fleeting time, In Bondi's heart, a story of love, Echoes forever, in the skies above. o4.13.2024 A mother, Ashelee Good, was stabbed to dead and Harriet her baby was also stabbed. The mother bravely went up to strangers and threw the baby to them to take care of her. Harriet is recovering in hospital. This happened at a shopping centre in Bondi Junction where six other people were killed, and a dozen others injured by a mentally ill man wielding a big knife.
