A Moment of Life
A change of thought and pace.
I hear in my own ear.
A sound of life.
Joyment fills the air.
And stars dance everywhere.
A life has begun.
He opens his eyes,
To the stars above.
Suddenly, the world passes by.
And I tell him not cry.
Nothing else remains,
But the grip of his hand in mine.
And I am knowing, it is now the end of time.
He is carried away.
And I am left here to stay.
To try and begin a new day.
Without anyone else around,
I no longer hear another sound.
But a moment of life.
And of a child that did not survive.
