A Moment of Growth

I was left to consider everything on a daily basis Thankfully regret is slipping further into the past And my mind, now free travels a thousand places Grandiose the shadow that you once did cast I remember when I felt that I’d never forget Thankfully regret is slipping further into the past Moving forward the constant goal I have set I found a place that now holds my attention I remember when I felt that I’d never forget None of this is said in anger not my intention I no longer hold those feelings of ill discontent I found a place that now holds my attention Discovering my true self is how my time is spent Learning how to care about another soul as well I no longer hold those feelings of ill discontent Each day on the past I allowed myself to dwell I was left to consider everything on a daily basis Learning how to care about another soul as well And my mind, now free travels a thousand places

Thank you for reading and your comments as always. The meaning here, is that my mind was once fixed, stuck, and couldn't move, but now it has been set free, and wanders a thousand other places, or more, just not where it was once stuck.

Thanks for the read. I get confused with this form because of the Villanelle and have to constantly keep looking to make sure I'm doing it right. Thanks again for the read and the comment.
