A Mile Away

I am closer than I was yesterday, I am one heart beat closer than yesterday, I am one step closer than I was yesterday, I am one breath closer than I was yesterday, I am one more mile closer to you, than I was yesterday. I cannot wait to travel the last mile, and join you hand and hand, hold you close to my heart, so we can share our love together, show the world, make them wrong, and smile at the envious faces. One more mile, that is all I have left to travel to be with you, for an endless lifetime we shall go on, into the sunlight; and smile, and kiss and make love.
