Michael, this is a sweet Welcome to Poetry Soup. It will be a delight to read and become familiar with your poems in the future. Thanks for the greeting and welcome. I think this is a great group to be a part of. Whilst I will try to continue and write inspirational pieces, I will read other submissions that may help me along the journey. Hopefully some of your works will encourage me too. I grew up in a tough neighbourhood in Jamaica called Jones Town in the 70's. I am now living in the Turks and Caicos Islands. After completing a part time degree in 2006(it took 6 years), I discovered I still wake up at nights; the times I used to. With no studying to do then, I realized stuff came to my mind which forced me to start writing, hence I now have pieces of poetry. 'FRIENDLY HUGS' to you too SKAT...
