A Luminous Night
A luminous night
Stressed out at a late time of night
Tense about the work, it’s all quite trite!
When I peered out the window and into the sky
Thick and thin tufts of white appeared on the canvas of night.
I eased the mind and put it all aside
I made the travel outside and took flight!
In awe and shock of what occurred despite,
That havoc earlier, I could not behold this wondrous sight!
An atmosphere so clear, enlightened by pricks of pure starlight.
Something so tremendous and great that I must write,
My mortal eyes can barely behold this luminous night.
