A Lover's Ghost

When the words don't come to mind, And there's nothing left to say, We're both going through it blind, I wouldn't have it any other way. We both wanted to take the chance, To see where it would go, But we fell at first glance, I had no other way to know. We both needed a change, If it was ever meant to be, But you started acting strange, I didn't know if it was me. You made it all the worth while, Just like a story in a book, I only wanted to see you smile, And never needed a second look. But you said there was nothing wrong, There was nothing left to lose, Like the lyrics in a song, You are still the one I choose. In the end you were always there, And I thought we'd never part, But I know you lost your care, I want to take it from the start. You can always take me by the hand, For I am always here, I would travel any land Just to have you near. It feels like I'm lost, You were the one I loved the most, I would bring you here at any cost, But in my mind you're still a ghost. Paul Walmsley
