A Lover's Dance
Anacreontic Verse
With evenings pause
of feathered red
the night will fall
upon our hearts
to dance in moon light
with shadowed spells
where tender mouths
merge and form
to dance away
with fingers held
where feet of grace
see a mirage
in dress of blue
that catches air
as you spin
I'll take a bow
before your form
and hold the moment
with purposed cause
then lift you high
above the floor
a silhouette
against the moon
to render down
with softest touch
and place a rose
into your hair
as you spin away
with eyes of fire
inviting passion
and the moon will set
