a love betrayed

Just when the flame of her tender passion
began to bloom into a relationship
that she could finally cherish,
Her affection turned to abomination and scorn
When his attempt to bamboozle her backfired
His struggle to win her back was in vain
Though he had a yearning for her
deep in his inner soul
But the bitter taste of betrayal
Killed all chances of reconciliation

Joseph, I thought I was keeping up on all your posts, but here is one I had missed. This poem strongly depicts love's betrayal.

I am not a pro on any form of poetry but...I know when I read a poem if I have enjoyed it. Now I have read yours and I have indeed enjoyed it Joseph. I wish you a wonderful weekend and hope you find much inspiration to continue with your writing endeavors. Love, Carol

Ah, those women, never know what they will do next. But, he's probably better off without her; time to move on! Nice one Joe
