A Look Inward

A Look Inward For all I ever once was all I ever want to be, fleeting mists singing and rising fogs in morn sunset views triumphant; resting deep inside of me shadows of a spirit cold and stark in reality. R. J. Lindley, March 11, 1976 A Look Backward For all I ever once did and all my heart sees, glowing memories and loves beyond measure days the sun stirs; rainbows softly drifting spirit patiently waiting love's hopes sweetly livin'. Robert J. Lindley, 10-04-2015 Found this old poem(very rare free verse from 39 years ago) and decided to give a new and up to date answer/reply.

This is very nice. A very old poem got a fresh breath of life with your reply. My very first write was I think when I was 13. I can no longer remember the entire body but the last two lines were "So we must make sure to take care of nature// In preparation for our own great future// lol!

Its always nice when we find those hidden treasures. I remember losing my first poem in the hands of some highschool students who were supposed to review it and give it back but that never happened. I miss that little poem but i cant even rem what it was about. Anyways...i really really loved these two gems

It shows how talented you are, and from such an early age.

Thanks Dew. I had forgotten that poem, newly found now and it was even in free verse which I almost never composed in, back in those many centuries ago!
