A Lonely Lion
A lonely lion went out to hunt
in the herd of giraffes he had a kick
and he run away angry
Among elephants he arrived
He sat and thought strategies
to pick one and eat
Elephants gathered and warned him
“come near and we trample on you”
Lonely lion went away ashamed
He lay down thinking, hungry, angry
but safari ants stormed his resting bed
biting him every point of his body
the lonely lion ran and ran scratching
Unable to see well the path, into a dish he fell
He cried out for help shaking his whiskers
but the animals only laughed, sang and danced;
“Save yourself, who knows not your tricks?
The one who comes down to save you
will end in your stomach, the animals sang”.
