A Little Feather
A poem I wrote was published
In a children’s magazine,
Which definitely isn’t,
In my life, something routine.
Accompanied by illustrations
Covering the page,
The hope is that it’s something
With which readers will engage.
To see my name in print like that
Both thrills and satisfies,
A little feather in my cap
Acknowledgement supplies.
