A Light
For when you leave this place so young
Young you’ll always be
Never knowing earthly pain
Not a worry you will see
You only ever knew a light
A kind so good and true
The Lord would never waste it
This golden, sparkling hue
When you have a light so bright
Its shine you can’t contain
When you leave this dreary place
That light, it shall remain
It travels all around this world
Spreading joy and love
It grows in the ones you left behind
Giving light from up above
You see, the light you had on earth
It never goes away
We simply take it in ourselves
So in our hearts you’ll stay
