A Life Game: Greed

What will their eternity win? Greed, as a vice makes some men grin. Money is their God. Poor folks bear guffawed. Then games bring a different kingpin! © June 1, 2011 Dane Ann Smith-Johnsen

Poor folks bear guffawed. To me, this has several meanings. It is a line to think about. The poor folks who are victims of a greedy person, have to grin and bear it in order to survive mentally, sometimes. 2nd meaning: Those unfortunate souls who love money instead of God bear their lack of faith...laughing...not even knowing. So, I see why one could get lost in thought on this line. I hope this helped. Sincerely, Dane Ann

Money is their God...to me means that some people worship money and getting more of it instead of God. I do realize, however, that many people who worship God also have money...but those people, to me, seem to have overcome the greed portion of personal material gain. Things and money in and of themselves are not bad...it is loving those things INSTEAD of loving God...and fellow man. I hope this helped. Thanks for enjoying the 1st three! Big Smiles
