A Letter To Mother Nature
Dear Lady, would it be too much to ask?
Take some of the rain from the flooded plain,
And give balance to the water once again.
Grow lots of trees to make much cleaner air
For humans to breathe, animals to share.
Let the oceans cool, calm weather return
With less disasters to come, or forests to burn.
And She answered…
Stop wasting water and let reason abound.
I grow lots of trees, but you cut them down.
You polluted the earth and made it too hot.
Let me be in charge, Mother Nature you’re not!
Because every action has its consequences
When will you ever come to your senses?
