A Lesson Learned

Lost faith in you, Even called you my best friend, my love; Thought of you as someone of virtue, But you left me in nothing but deceit; Yes, you gave me what you thought I wanted, Even I fooled myself into thinking the same; But I was wrong to deny my true feelings, To think you would have a heart, A heart that wouldn't hurt me in my time of need; When all I really wanted was your heart; But I was mistaken, You have no heart, Just a figure, thought to be for feeling; But instead for fooling the hurt, To thinking they could be repaired and whole once again; Then dropping their feelings off the ledge, As if garbage or trash; You leave me now in disgust, anguish, and wreck; Because now you've betrayed me, Beyond my returning, To trust you, love you, and call you someone I love; But the lesson is learned, It will not happen again To my "Brother" Hope you are happy with yourself.
