A Lazy Afternoon
A Lazy Afternoon
As sun beams down in *Splendour from the sky
And breezes *Waft their gentle breath o’er me
On soft reclining cushions I here lie
Beside a bank of *Lavender, run free
Mid *Fragrant scents of grass just newly mown
There comes to me the *Whisper of a rose.
A fat white cat in slumber on the lawn
And in the far off distance, music flows.
A *Lilting song in gentle *Dulcet tones
Comes floating softly through the crystal air
A voice so *Eloquent it melts my bones
And with it, melts away all daily care
To spend a *Blissful hour just sipping wine,
in *Tranquil paradise, I lie supine.
