This is an Ode about Norway. Norway has majestic fjords: 2 of which are UNESCO world Heritage sites (Geiranger fjord and Naeroyfjord)- line 4. During the summer, it experiences around 20 hours of sunlight (line 4). The sami people are indigenous. Known for their colourful clothes and herding of reindeer (lines 5 & 6). The troll is in scandanivian folklore, an ugly, messy nasty creature that lives in caves or forest and will burn to stone if sunlight hits them. Also a gas production platform which is the largest object ever moved by humans is named the Troll (lines 7-90. The “tran” is cod liver oil, popularly taken daily for health reasons-particularly against Rickets (line 10). Brown cheese is particular to Norwar and the cheese slicer is originally from Norway (line 11). The legend of the Vikings also has its root from Norway (line 12). Norway + Sweden = Scandinavian peninsula (line 15). It is the birth place of skiing and most successful nation in the world in winter Olympics (line 16).

Known for one, behind which are many more, a Land well carved into geographic abundance and anthropologic history. A land of majestic fjords and of the midnight sun. A land possessed by the people of colourful clothings and known for rearing reindeers. A land of the troll both that of the scandanavian folklore and the largest object ever moved by man. A land of the “tran” against rickets and one also full of romance to the brown cheese. A land greeted with a great history of raiders but having a landscaped virtually void of castles. Now a modern terrain and an advanced pasture of the Scandinavia, glorified by its topmost position in the eventful tussles of the winter.
