A Kaleidoscope of Butterflies
The most fragile of insects danced past my eyes,
In a kaleidoscope flutter of butterflies,
Alighting so gracefully upon garden blooms,
“Of “Sweet Juliets” with their tea rose perfumes,
Frenzied by scents so pleasingly sweet,
Tasting each flower with delicate feet,
Performing ballet “fouettes” in the air,
I watched them pirouette with elegant flair,
And felt a bit sad as they flew on their way-
Knowing a week to 9 months was their earthly stay-
