A Journey Looking Back

Life has been a journey looking back. I was born into this world to watch my life begin; Learning how to communicate with family and friends. Like many trying to making sense of this emotion love and hate. There’s a retiring smile remembering those hopes and dreams. I don’t know why I was in a hurry. It seemed everyone was running a race to be all grown up. Now wondering why there was such a rush. Remembering this struggle how to please who and this and that, while clinging to things not understanding what to cling to? Life got really busy for us all. Getting an education, a job and raising a family. The days began with daylight and ended in darkness. A wife, children, a house, and a home with pets. At best we choose how to live life and responsibility within. Time to reflect. It’s now getting late to see the light of childhood dreams. But, I remember those lessons and blessings of life. It's autumn in my life now and leaves are starting to fall. When winter comes may the memory be one of love. Edward J. Ebbs - December 13, 2015

Very nice, Edward. Life gets filled with many things...and good and bad memories get interwoven...like weeds among a crop. Hold on to the ones of love. Those always make us smile.
