A Hotdogging Road Hog

I am a careful driver who stays in my lane Except when I think doing so would be insane Like when a crazy fool Is stubborn as a mule And has an ego that is totally inane I humbly and wisely take the high road...except When another driver is doubtlessly inept I'm not the one who crashed and don't need to be bashed Do not assume I am wrong, when I am adept A driver who thinks he's better is a road hog Some folks might even consider him a hotdog Mouthing off like he's right Like a poet on a site Bragging like a fat bullfrog, squatting on a log

Hi Sean, you weren't entirely wrong. I was not active for 3 weeks because I'd evacuated due to Hurricane Ida. Thanks, but this wasn't written for a contest.

Hello Jenna ... for most a vehicle is a convenience, but then there are those who drive bullets on wheels and they don't care who suffers in their wake - thanks Jenna - Lindsay

True, Lindsay. A vehicle is a dangerous weapon. Thanks for the visit and comments.

We have too many of those types in New Jersey. That's why we pay the highest auto insurance premiums in the nation. Good write!

Thanks, Robert. Whether driving a car or using a pen like a stick shift, some people think they are better at things than others.

I'm so glad you caught my intent, Connie. Road Hogs, Blog Hogs...not much difference. Thank you, and I'm delighted to learn that you'll be more active on the site. Your poetry is wonderful.

That is absolutely right, Tom. When such road hogs give me a one finger salute, I simply smile and wave at them, which nulls their intent. ha ha Thanks, Tom.

Some road hogs act like they own the site, errr....road. That's when we need a dump truck... I would never give them a hand signal, though. haha Thanks, Jan.
