A Hope For Tomorrow

It is in this unfortunate time Where man has no feeling and Death has no meaning that We find ourselves lost and alone We run headlong into darkness Hiding from ourselves and what We perceive, old lies and old lives For our many sins we must atone Around in circles we go, in our Minds and in our lives, all in a day, all in a year Never really going anywhere The purpose not at all clear As we look towards the light, waiting for some answer Wondering if faith or chance will triumph All the while in the back of our minds Who will deliver us from fear One day in the future, it will come without warning Out of the clear blue sky, the answer we seek Will resonate on the wind, giving hope and purpose To a people in need From a time where madness used to reign A new day is borne, out of necessity And with that day will come peace and understanding So that we no longer have to bleed

There will always be madness, but what a gift to share hope with others and be able to write, Christian. Wonderful words here. I'm so glad I live only in the NOW. The future and the past are both figments of my imagination, but here at the Soup there is already a clear blue sky ... smile ... thanks for being here!!
