A Hero Is Dishonored

Alas, a US Marine saved a baby in Afghanistan. The USA, as a way to say thank you, puts him under investigation? Yes, a true hero, made the horrid mistake? Of being honored at a Trump rally, later, is that being a flake? I really don’t know this country anymore. As it’s OK to leave thousands of Americans behind Taliban’s death door.? And the lies from DC, stink like cheap, rotten bacon. This was no victory, leaving Americans and allies, behind to die, forsaken! So the heroic Marine in no hero for saving a tot, As The world is enamored of Chinese Tik Tok? Thirteen military dead, and as they were returned, they Our maniacal President studied his watch, my stomach just churned! We just cannot be human anymore? Just write jokes, and laugh, till our sides are sore? And dare you not comment to this! I was told that both I and my poetry hated like rotten fish? People loathe me, here, or so I was told. I am written up in comments, he said, both brash and bold! Exactly, because I don’t wear pigtails anymore! Nor hide in closets from reality’s human door. I know my God and He knows me. Knock off spreading dirt about any Poet you see! Christians know that saying all too well. “ Judge not, lest you be judged also.” Poetry Soup does not say, destroy others! We have rights here, or is it all covered? Hateful emails, murderous threats? Is this really ....as good as it gets? Poems I wrote to honor others? Why, they’d toss me off a cliff now, if they had their druthers? This grandmother, outdid many of you youngins’! Gave you intelligent comments, no itty bitty nuggets. Not even three years have I been here. But it’s looks like time to leave. Writers here, far better than I, are unread too. Not one of you, would like this to happen to you.
