A Hearty Transformation
Hearty, fragile hearts so bold
Hearts of young, hearts of old
Hearts that breathe, hearts that think
Hearts that believe, hearts that sink
Hearts that see, hearts unkind
Hearts that feel, love that’s blind
Hearts that live, hearts left open
Hearts that die, hearts left broken
Hearts that weep, seeking peace
Hearts that race, hearts that cease
Hearts that bleed, hearts that felt
Hearts of steel and ice that melt
Hearts of stone and hearts of coal
Hearts of copper, hearts of gold
Hearts that ache, filled with pain
Hearts out singing in the rain
Hearts that fly, hearts that soar
Hearts that smile, hearts that’s sore
Hearts of home, hearts of hope
Hearts that struggle, hearts that cope
Hearts that share parts unknown
Hearts stripped bare, down to the bone
Hearts out loud, hearts discreet
Hearts that jump or skip a beat
Hearts that try, hearts that cry
Hearts that define all mankind
Hearts that stop, hearts that stare
Hearts that throb, hearts that care
Hearts that sob, hearts of prayer
Hearts of humans everywhere
Hearts of mind, flesh and soul
Hearts transform to make us whole
